This 90-minute session with Angel Ng Ji takes discerning participants through the necessities of a home cocktail bar, key cocktail mixing methodologies, and tricks of the trade to deliver expert cocktails that wow, every time.

About Angel Ng Ji

ANGEL JI is an award-winning bar & beverage professional and also a co-founder of Chinatown Kuala Lumpur’s first cocktail bar, PS150. Carrying her philosophy of education without the pretension, the bar holds a variety of introductory elements from different cocktail eras, educating the uninitiated of the enjoyment of a delicious alcoholic drink.

Beyond bartending, Angel strives to expand her knowledge and skills by managing bars and lounges, consulting for pre-launch bars, organising events and providing bar training. She also provides masterclasses, workshops as well as educating others on the importance of responsible alcohol consumption. The sum of Angel’s many skills has resulted in a new venture, Thirsty Trio Traders, specialising in introducing new spirits and flavours to the scene, co-ordinating pop-up bars for events, project management in relattion to bar & beverage and consulting for new & existing establishments.

The awards under her belt include the Champion for the Mount Gay Cocktail Stories Competition 2014, The Sherry Apprentice 2015, Gin Jubilee Malaysia 2016 and La Maison Cointreau in 2014 and 2017. She was also a finalist for Malaysia’s Bartending Championship 2013 and Diageo Worldclass Malaysia 2014 and recently was awarded “Ada Coleman” title for The Bar Awards KL 2017.

Angel Ng had her first taste of the bar & beverage scene as a wine server during her college days in Singapore, and has always found her way back behind the bar. She also contributes to MY Bartender’s Handshake, a passion project that aims to bring the drinks society closer and to spread the love of cocktail making.

All cocktails will be mixed using the world famous The Botanist Gin and Cointreau, courtesy of Remy Cointreau.
